TLC has gone free-to-air on Freesat. Warner Bros. Discovery is throwing open the doors to its feel-good entertainment channel for everyone to enjoy. Launching with a fresh new look for 2026, TLC is stepping into the spotlight, bringing big laughs, bigger personalities and endlessly bingeable stories without the subscription strings attached.
Expect a packed schedule of crowd-pleasing US comedy, including multi-award-winning favourites like The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon, Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage and Mike & Molly, alongside the return of beloved panel show Mock the Week. Add in TLC’s trademark reality guilty pleasures and you’ve got a free-to-air line-up that’s perfect for switching off and settling in.
TLC HD on Freesat channel 144 and TLC+1 on channel 150 disappeared over the weekend after the satellite signal carrying both services was re-encrypted. The channel and its timeshift version had only joined the Freesat platform the previous week.
Because Freesat receivers do not support encrypted channels, viewers were met with an error message when attempting to tune in. As a result, Freesat users were unable to watch the opening episodes of the Young Sheldon spin-off comedy Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage.
