This Morning and Loose Women will no longer be shown on Virgin Media Television. A new schedule change-up will see the popular morning shows being dropped from October, 7.
The programme will be replaced by a revamped Elaine show, a new one-hour news programme anchored by Colette Fitzpatrick and extended Ireland AM slot.

Unfortunately, Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield will no longer be in our kitchen’s every morning and we will miss our daily catch up with the Loose Women panel. Of course, they will still air as normal on ITV.

But the schedule changes mean that Virgin Media One will now broadcast live studio content from 7 am until 1 pm each weekday, unique in broadcasting in Ireland.

As well as that, Weekend AM will now be rebranded to Ireland AM on Saturdays and Sundays with a combined presentation team working across the seven-day breakfast service.

Speaking about today’s announcement, Pat Kiely, Managing Director, Virgin Media Television said: “Our investment in state-of-the-art studio facilities over the last three years means we can now step up and deliver more Irish content than ever before. Being live and local right through the morning means we will connect more with our viewers and reflect the issues that are important to Irish audiences.

“From Ireland AM to the Tonight Show, Virgin Media Television now offers more daily live studio and News content than any other broadcaster.”

This comes after Xposé was also cancelled by TV bosses in a shock move today. Its final episode will air on Friday October, 4 on Virgin Media One. It will be replaced by an additional instalment of The Six O’Clock Show.
