A new licensing deal between the BBC Worldwide Asia and Chinese ISP Tencent has been agreed at MIPTV.
The agreement includes the addition of over 1,000 hours of BBC content to the Tencent online video platforms, such as: Attenborough: 60 Years in the Wild, The Mekong River with Sue Perkins and Rick Stein’s Taste of Shanghai.
General Manager of BBC Worldwide, Kelvin Yau commented that “We have had a long and fruitful partnership with Tencent and are excited to expand our relationship by providing the BBC’s premium documentary content to fans across China.”
