Talk’s live-streamed channel, has confirmed it will close its Freeview streaming service on channel 280.
The channel has been available to stream on compatible connected Freeview devices since 2024, following the closure of its traditional broadcast service. Previously operating as TalkTV, the channel originally occupied Freeview channel 237 before moving to the platform’s streaming section.

Talk operates primarily as a visual radio service, streaming live video alongside the station formerly known as TalkRadio. News UK also provides similar visual radio streams for sister stations TalkSport and Times Radio.

Viewers wishing to continue watching Talk TV live can still access the service through a range of smart TV platforms, including Samsung TV Plus, LG Channels and YouTube.

Freeview continues to support a number of hybrid broadcast and broadband streaming services across channels 251 to 291. These include several international news providers, such as Al Jazeera, Euronews and France 24.

Talk made the move to a streaming-only model in April 2024 after sustained financial losses and difficulties attracting audiences as a conventional television channel. Originally launched as TalkTV in April 2022, the channel offered round-the-clock news and opinion programming.
