Sony Crime Channel Launching February 6

 

Sony Pictures Television Networks (SPTN) is launching a second Sony-branded, Free-To-Air TV channel on Tuesday 6 Feb bringing crime fans a carefully curated schedule full of the best scripted and non-scripted entertainment from the genre.

Sony Crime Channel hits TV screens with a slate of absorbing channel premieres including the Free-To-Air premiere of smash hit series, Orange is the New Black (s1-4); Jed Mercutio’s award-winning cop corruption drama Line of Duty (S1-3); the UK premiere of Real Detective: North of the Border; and crime show stalwarts such as Person of Interest, CSI, Deadly Women, Hustle and Law & Order.

To celebrate the launch night SPTN will broadcast Sony Crime Channel simultaneously across sister channels True Entertainment and truTV from 9pm in a special event designed to showcase the channel to the biggest audience. The simulcast stunt will feature a criminally good line-up starting with Person of Interest (s1 ep1) at 9pm, CSI (s11 ep1) at 10pm and the Free-To-Air premiere of Orange is the New Black (s1 ep1) at 11pm.

With a predominantly female audience, Sony Crime Channel will create a one-stop destination for crime fans to immerse themselves in the genre with a vibrant fusion of fascinating stories, heart-pounding thrills, engrossing characters and stunning reveals. It launches on Freeview 60, Sky 157 and Virgin Media 193.
