sky-sportsSky Sports 5 will be available to both new and existing BT TV customers on their BT Vision+ set-top box when the channel launches today (August 12).

Existing BT TV customers with both Sky Sports 1 and Sky Sports 2 on Infinity will get the new channel automatically at no extra cost, while any new BT TV customer who orders the Sky Sports 1 and Sky Sports 2 content pack with Infinity will also get Sky Sports 5 automatically.

The price of the pack remains the same at £21 a month.

Existing BT TV customers who have both Sky Sports 1 and Sky Sports 2 over copper broadband will also get Sky Sports 5, but the channel will not be broadcast until September 5.

The new channel adds to the European football coverage on BT Sport, including Italy’s Serie A, France’s Ligue 1 and Germany’s Bundesliga as well as the recently announced exclusive deal with Portugal’s Primeira Liga.

BT Sport has exclusive live broadcast rights to all 350 matches from the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League football from 2015/16 for three seasons.
