Sky HD installations postponed for many viewers

skySky viewers who have pre-ordered the broadcaster’s soon-to-launch HD service have had their installation dates put back without prior warning because of a supply shortage.

While affected customers have been given a £20 credit by Sky, this has been seen by many as a small compensation, with many installations put back by up to a month. Sky HD installations are due to begin from 22nd of May. Some reports suggest that between 10,000 and 12,000 Sky HD customers have been affected.
