CSC Media’s children’s channel POP has launched on Freeview channel 75 in areas where local TV is or will be available.
The channel is also be available to YouView viewers on channel 75 in local TV coverage areas. Viewers who can already receive a local TV service on channel 8 or Bonanza Bonanza on channel 64 should retune to get the channel. It has replaced the Local TV test service on channel 791.
The Local TV multiplex is operated by Comux and has capacity for one local TV service, plus two “quasi-national” TV channels – one of which is POP.
The local TV multiplex is currently not available in the Granada TV region, though will be shortly go on air allowing POP to broadcast in the region.
