No more complaints on UK picture quality

Freeview UKA recent announcement from Ofcom reveals that complaints on the picture and sound quality of standard definition on DTT are now non-existent. With the regulator not receiving a single complaint in the last three years.

As the regulator reviews its Broadcast TV Technical Codes, it also explained that the commercial PSBs offering a simulcast HD service on DTT are also achieving good picture quality on both the HD and SD channels.
Ofcom says there is currently no need to continue with analysis of SD services, and that there are no plans to introduce a code for specific picture grade requirements on these channels.
