NME TV to launch on Sky Digital

NME TVMusic magazine NME is to launch a dedicated 24 hour channel on Sky Digital channel 377. The channel, which launches on 23rd November, will include, video-led programming on classic artists, a music news service and exclusive interviews and footage—including material produced from NME’s own tours, club nights and events. The channel will be comprehensively cross-promoted in NME magazine and on the website NME.com, advertising sales on the channel will be handled by specialist TV airtime sales and sponsorship house, Dolphin TV.

NME publishing director Paul Cheal, said: “Launching a linear television channel is a major new development for the UK’s leading alternative music brand. While NME.Com continues to rack up the awards, and the print brand continues to set new standards in content and marketing, NMETV will add an important new strand of content to our existing platforms.”
