Humax has released a firmware update for its high definition Freesat set top box, Foxsat-HD. The update, which takes the firmware from HZPTSF 1.00.13 to 1.00.15, offers “performance enhancements” to MHEG – the technology used for interactive services on the platform – in high definition, and adds support for DDS – Display Definition Segment – to subtitling, which may permits subtitles to be appropriately scaled on high definition broadcasts.
There are reports of lip sync problems on BBC HD and no DVB subtitles on the HD channel.
