Keep It Country coming to Freeview

Keep It Country TVCountry music channel Keep It Country has announced it will be joining on Freeview from the June 1st, marking a further expansion for the channel which first launched on Sky in January, followed by Freesat at the beginning of March.

The channel has been allocated Freeview channel 87, with transmissions due to start on Wednesday, details of which Freeview multiplex it will use has still to be confirmed.

At launch, Keep It Country became the first dedicated country music TV channel for Europe since the closure of CMT Europe in 1998. The channel is one of a new range of media outlets for country music, tapping into the current increase in popularity of the music genre.
