The head of children’s programming at Viacom-owned UK broadcaster Channel 5 has left the company.
Jessica Symons joined Channel 5 in 2006 and was given responsibility for its children’s programming block Milkshake! in 2012, having previously been manager and then commissioning editor of children’s content.
A Channel 5 spokesman has confirmed that Jessica Symons has left the company and that Clair Robinson has taken on the role on an interim basis.
Milkshake! is the home of Peppa Pig in the UK, Symons’ commissions at the channel have included Dave’s Dinosaurs, Wissper and Winnie & Wilbur.
