Swedish Radio (SR)

Sweden (Sverige), officially the Kingdom of Sweden (Konungariket Sverige), is a country in Northern Europe. It borders Norway to the west and north and Finland to the east and is connected to Denmark in the southwest by a bridge-tunnel across the Öresund Strait.
At 450,295 square kilometres (173,860 sq mi), Sweden is the largest country in Northern Europe, the third-largest country in the European Union and the fifth largest country in Europe by area. The capital city is Stockholm. Sweden has a total population of 10.3 million of which 2.5 million have a foreign background.

Sveriges Radio (SR)
Sveriges Radio AB (“Sweden’s Radio”) is Sweden’s national publicly funded radio broadcaster. Sveriges Radio is a public limited company, owned by an independent foundation, previously funded through a licensing fee, the level of which is decided by the Swedish Riksdag.
As of January 1, 2019, the funds stem from standard taxation. No advertising is permitted. Its legal status could be described as that of a quasi-autonomous non-governmental organization.

SR P1 SR P2 SR P3
On SR P1, news, culture, debate, readings, documentaries, etc. Almost no music is played, except in the daily summertime programme Sommar, in which guest presenters introduce their own choice of music. On SR P2, is one of the four main radio channels operated by SR. It broadcasts music (principally classical and jazz) and also carries educational programming as well as programmes in minority languages. SR P3 is a mainstream CHR-formatted station operated by Sveriges Radio. Its output which includes pop, rock, hip-hop and dance, is oriented towards young people from junior high school age to 35.

SR P4 is a national radio channel produced by Sveriges Radio. It is the corporation’s most popular radio channel, presenting popular music, entertainment, and sport. Regional variations. SR P4 Plus plays the hits from the 1920s onwards. You can listen to us via the app Sweden Radio Play, on sverigesradio.se or via for example internet radio. Radioapans knattekanal is a web channel from Sveriges Radio that broadcasts good children’s music between 6-20 every day. The channel plays well-known children’s songs.

SR P6 SR P7 Sisuradio SR Sápmi
SR’s multi lingual channel, with music and programmes in several languages. Programmes that appeal to all listeners, regardless of age, gender, or ethnic origin. SR P7 Sisuradio is a Swedish-Finnish radio channel that mostly broadcasts in Finnish though also in Meänkieli as well as bilingual Finnish/Swedish. SR Sápmi is a Sami language channel from Sveriges Radio. The station broadcast to the Sami minority in Norrbotten (North Bothnia) in Sweden.

Din Gata 100,6 is a Swedish radio station owned by Sveriges Radio produced in Malmö. It targets young urban people and hence plays mostly hip-hop and R&B. Most of the hosts are of foreign origin.
