Front Runner expands on satellite

Free to air Sports channel Front Runner has expanded its service on satellite, with Greyhound Racing moving to its own channel.
The change has put an end to the situation which led to the satellite (Sky/Freesat) and terrestrial (Freeview) version of Front Runner carrying different programmes at prime-time, with Greyhound Racing on satellite, and other programmes on terrestrial, causing some confusion among viewers.

As part of the new arrangement, the main Front Runner channel now carries the same schedule on satellite as it does on terrestrial, and is now found on Sky channel 469. Current sporting events on the channel include the BDO World Trophy. Greyhound Racing moves to Front Runner 2, which has taken over the previous Front Runner channel number on Sky (468) and Freesat (250).
On top of Greyhound Racing, Front Runner 2 is showing coverage from the British GT Championship this weekend. There are no changes to the Freeview service.

Front Runner on Freeview channel 91 reaches around 3/4 of UK households, but requires viewers to have newer Freeview equipment to see the channel. Viewers using a hybrid platform, including the YouView-based BT TV and TalkTalk TV, which piggyback on Freeview, can also see Front Runner on 91, subject to coverage.
