On 3rd September 2014 Children’s and News services will be moving to new channel numbers as we update the Freeview TV guide, making room for new entertainment services. From late afternoon on Wednesday 3rd September current Children’s services will be available between channels 120-126, and News services between channels 130-135.
How to update?
To update the TV guide on your Freeview TV or digital box and make the most of the new services you will need to retune. However, some equipment will do this automatically, which means you will see the changes straight-away. More on retuning.
Viewers who don’t retune on 3rd September will still be able to watch the channels on their old numbers. However, this change is in preparation for new services over the coming weeks and you won’t be able to access the new services until you retune.
If you need any additional support you can contact the Freeview advice line on 03456 505050 (more information on call charges & opening times can be found here)
