Last month Freesat appointed project director Emma Scott as the venture’s first managing director.
Freesat will offer 200 channels plus interactive services for a one-off payment, targeting both the 27% of the UK population who are currently outside of DTT coverage and those with HD-enabled TV sets who do not wish to pay subscription services for high definition content.
