Freesat adds new genres to TV guide

Freesat is announcing a number of changes to its TV guide genre list. The update, which will take place tomorrow, Tuesday 7th February, will see several channels being allocated new genres.
Following the changeover, viewers will be able to access a new “International” genre to view channels including Rishtey and Colors, and faith-based channels will move to a new genre “Faith”.

Other channels, including Community Channel, Irish TV and Forces TV will move to Entertainment.

Freesat viewers will see the update appear in the TV guide from Tuesday 7th February. See below for the new genre list:

7. Children
8. International
9. Faith
10. Shopping
11. Adult
12. Gaming and Dating (not displayed)
13. On Demand (Interactive on SD)
14. Regional
