Five launches on Freesat

fiveFive has launched on Freesat, the free-to-air digital satellite TV service today, as the platform gears up for a pre-Christmas marketing push.
Five will automatically be added via viewers’ Freesat digital boxes or integrated TVs to channel 105, so viewers will not need to take any action to access the channel.

There are currently no interactive ‘Red Button’ services on Five, though Five Text can be accessed by pressing the Subtitle button, and then Teletext.
Some programmes are still unavailable to viewers on Freesat, this is due to some rights issues being unresolved.

Fiver and Five US are still unavailable on the Freesat platform, this is due to rights issues and the lack of capacity on the Astra 2D satellite, Five is working on bringing these channels to Freesat.
