Danny Carvalho is to join Channel 4’s Factual Entertainment and Entertainment department as Commissioning Editor for Factual Entertainment.
Carvalho will report to Liam Humphreys, head of the Factual Entertainment and Entertainment teams at the channel. He replaces Rich Evans who recently left the department.

Carvalho’s appointment to Factual Entertainment and Entertainment follows a maternity cover working in the Channel 4 Formats department where he commissioned series including That’s So Last Century, Look into My Eyes and Dominos: A Slice of Life, as well as overseeing returning formats Virtually Famous and Three Day Nanny.

Before joining Channel 4 in 2014 Carvalho was Head of Development at Pulse Films and Executive Producer at ITV Studios, where he was responsible for creating entertainment and factual formats including ITV’s The Chase and Sky Living’s Four Weddings.
