Channel 5 to launch 5Select

Channel 5 have confirmed their new premium factual and drama channel will launch as 5Select.

Originally due to launch as 5Prime earlier in January, 5Select will go live on all major digital TV platforms on Tuesday 13th February 2018. It will replace the current My5 linear channel.

Apart from a different name to the one originally intended, viewers can expect the same selection of programming previously promised for 5Prime. The channel’s new drama strand will be known as “Select Drama”, and will sit in the schedule alongside a mix of factual shows including nature and history documentaries.
