CBeebies expands across Asia

BBC Worldwide is set to expand the reach of CBeebies in Asia by launching the UK preschool channel in Taiwan.
BBC Worldwide has partnered with 15 cable operators in Taiwan to bring the 24-hour, dual-language CBeebies channel to more than 3.8 million households from March 13.

Series that are due to air in Mandarin include Hey Duggee, Sarah & Duck, Dinopaws and The Numtums.
“This is the first time that CBeebies programmes will be fully dubbed in Mandarin and launched as a channel in Taiwan,” said Kelvin Yau, general manager for Greater China, BBC Worldwide.

CBeebies is also available in Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korea, the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Mexico, Poland and South Africa.
