BBC Worldwide will expand the reach of CBeebies by launching the UK preschool channel in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) next month.
The 24-hour linear channel will be available in English exclusively to subscribers of pay TV operator BeIN’s DTH service from April 1.
It marks the first time CBeebies has entered the MENA market as a full channel and brings the number of territories it is available in to 78.
Series due to air include Hey Duggee, Sarah &Duck, Clangers, Katie Morag and Go Jetters, an original commission for the international CBeebies network.
“We have a fantastic line-up of brand new programmes for viewers in the MENA region which we know will entertain and educate local preschoolers in equal measure,” said Natasha Hussain, VP and general manager for Middle East & Mediterranean Region.
CBeebies is also available in Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korea, Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Mexico, Latin America, Poland and South Africa.
