BBC AAC Radio Streams

BBC Radio AAC+ streams are available at 320 kbps HLS AAC for UK listeners and 96 kbps HLS AAC for international listeners. The easiest way to listen is through BBC iPlayer Radio.
Streams are also available in MP3 format at 128 kbps for most stations.

Listed below are the BBC UK high streams.

AAC (Advanced Audio Coding)

HE-AAC (High-Efficiency Advanced Audio Coding)

Non-uk listeners will need to replace /uk/sbr_high/ with /nonuk/sbr_low/

The live HLS streams are available from two servers: Akamai and Limelight.
To change to the Limelight server, replace “/ak/” with “/llnw/”

To change the bitrate of the stream replace “/sbr_high/” with:

“/sbr_high/” = 320kbps (AAC-LC)
“/sbr_med/” = 128kbps (AAC-LC)
“/sbr_low/” = 96kbps (HE-AAC)
“/sbr_vlow/” = 48kbps (HE-AAC)
