BBC Radio Ulster/ Foyle remains the most listened to radio station in Northern Ireland, according to the latest RAJAR (Radio Joint Audio Research) figures for Quarter Four (Oct-Dec) , 2016.
These latest RAJAR figures show that the station receives an average weekly reach of 521,000 listeners – approximately 35 per cent of the population (aged 15 plus).
Programming broadcast on BBC Radio Foyle, as reported by RAJAR, received an average weekly reach of 40,000 listeners.
BBC Radio Ulster/Foyle figures increased by 17,000 quarter on quarter (with 504,000 listeners in Q3, 2016). And BBC Radio Foyle’s figures also increased by 1,000 from the previous quarter (with 39,000 listeners Q3, 2016). Figures for BBC Radio Ulster for the same period last year (Q4, 2015) were 538,000 and figures for programming broadcast on BBC Radio Foyle for the same period last year (Q4, 2015) were 42,000.
