The BBC has today launched BBC iPlayer radio, an integrated mobile web and desktop app, along with a new standalone iPlayer Radio iOS app.
New radio station websites across PC, mobile and tablet will offer improved access to BBC content including catch-up and on-demand content, clips, videos and downloads.
The smartphone app includes a touchscreen dial providing access to all 57 BBC radio stations and their live streams, an alarm clock, catch-up content, video clips and tracklist details for music shows. The app also allows users to set programmes alerts and favourite tracks and share them via email and Twitter.
The BBC has designed versions for both Android and iOS, with the iOS app launching today and the Android app to follow shortly.
The BBC radio homepage has been redesigned with new radio categories and schedule options. New homepages have been launched for nearly all stations and the BBC Radio mobile websites have also been updated.
