Amazon Fire TVAmazon will launch its Fire TV Stick in the UK on April 15th. The HDMI dongle, priced at £35, streams video via Netflix, Amazon Prime and YouTube, among others, straight to user’s televisions. For the first two days existing Amazon Prime subscribers can order the gadget for £19.

Amazon’s listing for the device reads: “Fire TV Stick connects your HDTV to a world of online entertainment. Whether you’re a Prime member or not, enjoy a huge selection of movies and TV episodes, voice search that actually works and exclusive features like ASAP. Fire TV Stick is an easy way to enjoy Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, BBC iPlayer, low-cost movie rentals, live and on-demand sports, music, photos, games and more.”

The device directly competes with noteworthy rivals Chromecast (from Google) and Roku’s Streaming Stick.

Amazon Germany has also started taking orders for the Amazon Fire TV Stick.
The device will ship from the same date as the UK (April 15th) and costs €39.
