4Music, part of The Box Plus Network, a joint venture between Channel 4 and Bauer Media, has finally abandoned encryption, last of the Bauer Media channel to do so due to rights restrictions.
4Music’s sister channels, including The Box, went free-to-air on satellite back in the spring of 2013 and were added to Freesat. The channel has been free-to-air on Freeview since the channels launch in 2008, while being free-to-view on Sky.
4Music is already available on Freeview channel 18, Sky 362, Virgin Media channel 337 and via TVPlayer.com. There is no news on when or if the channel will join the Freesat platform.
