Settings

Under settings you will find the following:

  • General settings – Settings for language, Parental control, Accessibility, On-screen display, Power-on timer
  • Picture & Sound – Screen ratio, Display format, Resolution, Audio Type, Digital audio out, TV SCART, Lip-sync.
  • Network connection – Configure the options for LAN (Ethernet) or wireless LAN (Wi-Fi connection.
  • System Settings – Set the storage, power saving and software update, STB mode (Freesat or non-Freesat), Factory default (Reset)
  • Freesat Channels – Search and edit Freesat channels.

General Settings

Settings for language, Parental control, Accessibility, On-screen display, Power-on timer.

 

 

 

 

 

Parental Control
Under parental control, you can set a PIN to prevent children from viewing inappropriate content or channels.
By default, no PIN is set. There are two options: Set parental control and Change parental PIN.

 

 

 

 

 

Preferred Language
Change the onscreen language of the receiver, you can choose between the following languages – English, Gaelic and  Welsh.

Recording
Under recording you can change settings for:
Start padding time  – Auto, 2 mins, 5 mins and 10 mins
End padding time – Auto, 2 mins, 5 mins and 10 mins
Instant replay – 7 seconds, 15 seconds and 30 seconds
Skip forward – 30 seconds, 60 seconds, 120 seconds and 240 seconds
Recording buffer – On/Off
Auto delete – On/Off

 

 

 

 

 

Accessibility
Under accessibility you can change the following:
Audio description – On/Off
Subtitle display – On/Off
Audio bleep – On/Off
Subtitle font – Variable or Fixed

 

 

 

 

 

On-screen Display
HD prompt – On/Off

 

 

 

 

 

Power-on/Off Timer
To turn on the receiver automatically, select  Set power-on and enter the power-on time.

 

 

 

 

 

Power-off Timer
To turn off the receiver automatically, select  Set power-off and enter the power-off time.

 

 

 

 

 


Picture & Sound

Screen ratio, Display format, Resolution, Audio Type, Digital audio out, TV SCART, Lip-sync.

Under Picture & Sound you will find the following settings:
Screen ratio – 16:9 or 4:3
Display format – Auto, 4:3 Pillarbox, Centre Cut Out, 14:3 Pillarbox, Anamorphic
Resolution – 1080i, 1080p, 720p, 576p
Audio type – Stereo, Left, Right
Lip-sync

 

 

 

 


Network Connection

Connect the Ethernet cable to your receiver or connect via Wi-Fi.
All available Wi-Fi networks in range will be displayed on the screen.
Choose your network and then type in your network password. Secure networks will display a padlock over the Wi-Fi symbol. If your network is not secure you are strongly advised to do so by adding a secure password to prevent unauthorised users from gaining access.

 

 

 

 

 


System Settings

Set the storage, power saving and software update, STB mode (Freesat or non-Freesat), Factory default (Reset).
Storage – HDD, Start disk clean up and Start disk format.
Power Saving – Automatic power down On/Off and Standby mode Power save/Normal.
STB mode – If you want to watch non-Freesat channels, channel scan required.
Factory default – Reset all settings to default. Once you reset the system all channels, user setting information and recorded programmes will be deleted. PIN required, the default is 0000.

 

 

 

 

 


System Information

Under System Information  the following options are available:

General Info – Display the product information for customer service or repairment.
Network Info – Display the devices Internet connection information.
Signal Info – The receiver will show the signal strength and quality on both tuners. If the receiver can receive signals from the Astra 2 group of satellites at 28.2° East.
Non-Freesat – Search and edit non-Freesat channels (only available in non-Freesat mode).
Freesat ID – Pair your box to enable remote recording (via Freesat app).
Hidden Settings – To access Hidden Settings, go to Settings, then System Info. Press the following colour sequence – Red Green Yellow Blue Green Yellow Blue
The following options are available:

  • Freesat GEN2 – Enable/Disable
  • Display CRID – Enable/Disable
  • Get Network Time – 1 Hour
  • Debug Mode – Enable/Disable
  • Wi-Fi Signal Strength
  • Reset PIN code
  • Enable experiment – Enable/Disable

 

 

 

 

 


Freesat Channels

Search and edit Freesat channels, the following options are available:
Search channels – The recording schedules, favourite channels and customisable channels will be removed if the channel search is carried out.
Favourite Channels – Add channels to the favourite channel group or remove channels from the favourite channel group.
Editable Channels – Remove the channels from the channel list.
Customisable Channels – Customise the regional channels broadcast by Freesat. This feature may be available to certain regional channels only.
