4Music has ended free-to-air transmissions on satellite, following a satellite transponder change which completed today.
The channel, along with sister channels The Box, Box Upfront, Box Hits, Kerrang and Kiss, have moved to new satellite capacity, which covers the whole of Europe.
Previously, 4Music was broadcast on satellite using the the UK spotbeam, which restricted the signal from being received in other countries where other broadcasters may hold the rights to some of the programming shown by 4Music.
4Music continues to be available as a free-to-view channel on Sky, a valid Sky viewing card and receiver are required to receive the channel.
